The Turkmenbashi refinery produced over 20,000 tons of lubricants since early 2011. The figure is 1.3 times higher in comparison to the same period last year. The enterprise has manufactured more than 30 types of multi-purpose lubricants.

These products are used in the agricultural industry as well as in oil, road, rail, sea and river transport.

Turkmenistan is one of the largest producers in the region. Production volume, range and quality of produced oil completely ensure meeting full domestic demand in high-performance engine oils for passenger cars and commercial vehicles and agricultural equipment operating in difficult operating conditions.

A new scheme of processing has been recently developed at the refinery, which is acceptable for receiving lubricating oils of various brands of Turkmen oil based on technologies of the Edeleanu Geselshaft GmbH firm. A shop for production of lubricating oils from different functional purposes with a capacity of 80,000 tons per year, which is equipped with modern high-tech equipment, was put into operation with the Technip Company's participation.

It includes a complex on producing basic lubricants by different devices, which include a vacuum distillery of black oil, selective treatment of vacuum distillates, solvent deparafinization of lubricant refined oil, hydrocleaning of waxed refined oil, as well as a rig for combining and automatic packing of commodity lubricants in ten-, five- and three-litre jerricans.

Installation of vacuum distillation on fuel oil processing with a capacity of about 1.5 million tons per year was envisaged for the production of oil distillates - the raw material to produce base oils.
