One of South Pars biggest phases will be launch by October 2012, with production capacity of 84 million cubic meters of sour gas, Fars News Agency reported, quoting Managing Director of Pars Oil and Gas Company Mussa Souri as saying.
"Phase 12 is one of South Pars biggest projects. It is expected to be launch by October 2012 and to produce 84 million cubic meters of sour gas next year (beginning March 20, 2012)", he said.
More than 38 percent of the Phase 12 onshore refinery is to be completed, while the offshore Phase 12 pipeline will be complete during the current solar year (began on March 20, 2011).
Iran 's South Pars oil and gas field is one of the largest in the world. It predicts up to $130 billion in revenues per year.
The South Pars oil and gas field covers an area of 3,700 square kilometers. It is located 3,000 meters below the seabed.
