Iran 's electricity exports to neighboring countries increased by 24.07 percent to 3,160 Gigawatt per hour this year as of March 20, ILNA reported.
Iran 's Ministry of Energy said that implementing subsidy removals reduced the rate of power consumption in the country and created an opportunity for export to neighboring countries.
Iran currently trades electricity with Armenia, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Nakhjavan , Turkey, Iraq, and Afghanistan.
