The volume of cargo transportation by air in Azerbaijan amounted to 182,500 tons from January through May 2021, which is 28.8 percent more compared to the same period of 2020, Trend reports citing the report of the State Statistical Committee.
At the same time, 99.2 percent of the total cargo transportation was carried out by state enterprises, and 0.9 percent - by private enterprises.
In the first 5 months of 2021, the volume of cargo transportation by all types of transport amounted to 77.2 million tons, of which 0.2 percent fell on the share of air transport. Also, 447 million passengers were transported by all types of transport.
Also, during the reporting period, 239,000 passengers were transported by air, which is 45.9 percent less than in the same period in 2020.
