ASTANA, Kazakhstan, August 7. The volume of production in oil and gas engineering in Kazakhstan reached 27.6 billion tenge (about $57.8 million), Trend reports, citing the Ministry of Industry and Construction.
Thus, production volume compared to the same period last year (in the same period in 2023, 19.5 billion, or about $40.8 million) increased by 41.2 percent.
At the same time, $1.356 million was invested in the industry, which is 2.4 times more than the same period last year ($557,100).
Oil and gas engineering is a branch of mechanical engineering that produces technological equipment as well as special, complete technological lines and installations for the oil and gas industries, chemical industries, and petrochemical industries. In Kazakhstan, the industry is represented by 48 enterprises employing over 1,700 people.
Meanwhile, Kazakhstan plans to implement two projects in this sector this year: the construction of a plant for the production of screw pumping systems in the Mangystau region and the construction of a workshop for the repair, assembly, and maintenance of pumping equipment in the Atyrau region.
