BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, July 31. Kyrgyzstan plans to build a $730,000 enterprise for the production of dried fruits in the Batken region, Trend reports.
The project involves production and export of organic fresh apricots and dried apricots.
The enterprise will deal with production of dried fruits and packaging of products for export to the EU, the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and Japan.
The amount of investment in this project will be about $320,000.
The cost of the project includes the price of a land plot of about $34,000, construction - $350,000, equipment worth $143,000, working capital of about $163,000 and other expenses of $38,000, and the payback period of the project is two years.
The production of dried fruits is a promising and important industry in the agriculture of Kyrgyzstan. Due to the unique climate and fertile soils, the country has rich resources for growing a variety of fruits and berries that can be turned into high-quality dried fruits.
