BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, January 7. Kyrgyzstan imported 173,021 tons of petroleum coke and bitumen from January through October 2024, which is four times more than the 42,557 tons imported during the same period in 2023, Trend reports.

The State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan stated that the value of the imports amounted to $34.667 million, increasing by 2.8 times compared to $12.167 million in January-October 2023.

The majority of the imports came from Kazakhstan, with 147,772 tons worth $28.318 million. Russia followed with 23,063 tons worth $5.461 million, and Uzbekistan supplied 2,182 tons valued at $878,600.

Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover amounted to $13.4 billion in 10 months, which is 6.4 percent more than in the same period of 2023.

The country's total exports grew by 25.2 percent year-on-year to $3.1 billion, while imports increased by 1.8 percent to $10.3 billion.
