TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, October 5. HMS Group, one of Russia’s largest privately owned machine-building companies, and the administration of Uzbekistan’s Tashkent have signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of exchange of technical and technological experience in water supply and sanitation, Trend reports.

The memorandum was signed on the sidelines of the third Interregional Cooperation Forum between Russia and Uzbekistan in Kazan.

Commenting on the signed document, Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjayev noted that the countries are actively expanding industrial cooperation in machine-building, electrical engineering, and chemical fields, as well as in such industries as fuel and energy, mining, metallurgical, agricultural, and textile.

"Russia remains one of Uzbekistan's main trading partners, and in order to further increase trade turnover, we are constantly and systematically working to eliminate barriers to mutual trade. We have great opportunities to deepen investment cooperation, and to do this, we call for more active use of the advantages of the technoparks being created, as well as new financial support tools, in particular the recently established Industrial Development Fund of Uzbekistan," he stressed.

Meanwhile, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a working visit to Moscow from October 5 through October 7, 2023.

In accordance with the program of the visit, the president of Uzbekistan will visit Kazan and get acquainted with its industrial potential.
