BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 24. During the 8th month of the current Iranian year (from March 20 to November 20, 2024), the Bandar Abbas Thermal Power Plant in Hormuzgan Province, southern Iran, generated a total of 3.01 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, Trend reports.
D. Mahmudi reported that 2.89 billion kilowatt-hours of this total were produced by the plant’s steam units, while 118 million kilowatt-hours were generated by its gas units.
Mahmudi also noted that from October 22 to November 20, 2024, the plant generated 149 million kilowatt-hours of electricity. Of this, 136 million kilowatt-hours were produced by steam units, and 13.2 million kilowatt-hours by gas units.
The Bandar Abbas Thermal Power Plant is one of Iran's major thermal power plants. It has a capacity of 1,330 megawatts and operates 4 steam units, each with a capacity of 320 megawatts, along with 2 gas units, each with a capacity of 25 megawatts.
