Acting Defense Minister of Armenian Seyran Ohanyan during his official visit to Lithuania met his Lithuanian counterpart Juozas Olekas, Armenia Today reported with reference to the Press Service of the Ministry of Defense.
During the meeting, the defense ministers of Armenia and Lithuania praised the current level of Armenian-Lithuanian military cooperation, noting the importance of cooperation in the areas of military education, military medicine, peacekeeping, expert consultations, and so on.
They achieved agreements on the formation and development of cooperation in the fields of cyber security, human resources management and energy security.
The ministers noted the importance of the prospects of cooperation in a multilateral format, in particular, cooperation within the EU and NATO. They also exchanged views on regional security issues.
According to the visit's schedule, Ohanyan also visited Lithuanian Military Academy and met with representatives of the Armenian community, and honored the memory of the defenders of the independence of Lithuania.
