The OSCE Mission on Human Rights and Democracy, headed by Audrey Glover arrived in Tbilisi today morning for the monitoring of municipal elections in Georgia scheduled for May 30.
According to Glover, the mission will observe as the pre-election period, and the situation after the elections.
"It is important to show the world how elections will be held in a democratic atmosphere," - Glover said.
Mission itself will officially begin work Apr.16. The representatives of the mission will met with representatives of the government, with parliamentary and extra-parliamentary opposition.
"It is important to approve this format, and if the international community has any doubt then they must be dispelled," - Akaki Minashvili, Chairman of Foreign Relations Committee, said commenting on the visit.
