An Islamic Development Bank (IDB) mission headed by Secretary Magomad Enifar will visit Azerbaijan for the thirty-fifth annual IDB board of managers meeting in Baku on Dec. 24-29, IDB representative in Azerbaijan Tamerlan Tagiyev said today.
The annual meeting and investment conference will be held June 23-24, 2010.
"The mission's visit aims to discuss preparatory operations, a venue for the annual meeting and other events related to transport and communications," Tagiyev said.
This is the first time the IDB has held such an event in Baku.
Delegations from 56 IDB member countries will attend.
Azerbaijan has been an IDB member since 1992.
IDB's portfolio is $280 million in Azerbaijan.
The IDB was established Oct. 20, 1975.
The IDB was established in 1975. Since its establishment, the bank's authorized capital has increased 15 times - from 2 billion to 30 billion Islamic dinar.
