Sheki Sherab LLC, an Azerbaijani winery, plans to export its products to the Chinese market in the second half of this year, the winery’s director Vidadi Hasanov told Trend.
The director noted that white wines were of the greatest interest in the Chinese market.
“Among the ten varieties of wines that were presented at the Chinese international exhibition this year, the wine “Bouquet Sheki” aroused the greatest interest, and we are mainly planning to supply this brand of wine to China,” Hasanov said. “The wholesale price of one bottle of wine intended for export varies within $2.5-$3.”
The director added that the company also expects to launch exports to Spain.
“The Spanish partners became interested in our products during the exhibition, and expressed desire to cooperate with us,” he said. “If specific supply agreements are reached, we may export wines worth more than $3 per bottle to Spain.”
He noted that in 2018, the company produced 500,000 liters of wine.
“By the end of this year, we intend to double this figure in order to increase the export potential of production,” Hasanov said.
Sheki Sherab LLC was founded in 2006 with design production capacity of 280,000 bottles of wine. The company has equipment of the Italian Della Toffola company.
There are workshops for receiving grapes, production and bottling of various brands of wine at the plant.
At the same time, the plant has two bunkers for receiving white and red grape varieties. The plant also has two production lines for white and red wines, and one more line for the production of elite wines.
