The Government of Georgia has made another change in the "Produce in Georgia" program to help the private sector affected by the pandemic, Trend reports via Georgian media.
As the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development said, the change will affect - farmers who cultivate perennial crops. They will be able to join the credit-guarantee scheme.
According to the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava, the involvement of farmers in the credit-guarantee scheme is a very important issue.
"The credit-guarantee scheme includes 12 banks operating in Georgia and operates under the "Produce in Georgia" scheme." The scheme guarantees up to 70 percent of the collateral to be submitted to the bank for small and medium-sized enterprises, which will significantly facilitate access to finance for small and medium-sized enterprises," the "Produce in Georgia" agency says.
