Around 10.5 million tons of oil and condensate production in Azerbaijan in the first five months of 2020 accounted for Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) block of oil and gas fields, Trend reports with reference to Azerbaijan’s Energy Ministry.
This is while Shah Deniz field accounted for 1.6 million tons of condensate production in Azerbaijan from January through May 2020.
Gas production from ACG and Shah Deniz equaled to 5.4 billion cubic meters and 8 billion cubic meters, respectively in the first five months of 2020.
Since the start of development till June 1, ACG and Shah Deniz produced more than 537 million tons of oil and condensate and 295.2 billion cubic meters of gas. These fields exported 538.6 million tons of oil and condensate and more than 82.6 billion cubic meters of gas during the reporting period.
ACG participating interests are: BP (30.37 percent), SOCAR (25 percent), MOL (replaced Chevron as of 16 April 2020 (9.57 percent), INPEX (9.31 percent), Equinor (7.27 percent), ExxonMobil (6.79 percent), TPAO (5.73 percent), ITOCHU (3.65 percent), ONGC Videsh Limited (OVL) (2.31 percent).
Shah Deniz participating interests are: BP (operator – 28.8 percent), TPAO (19.0 percent), AzSD (10.0 percent), SGC Upstream (6.7 percent), PETRONAS (15.5 percent), LUKOIL (10.0 percent) and NICO (10.0 percent).
