Azerbaijani mobile operator to consider introduction of mobile solutions for e-governance

Azerbaijani mobile operator Azerfon reached a primary agreement to hold bilateral talks with the world's largest vendors, offering innovative solutions that can be deployed in a mobile communications network, manager for corporate affairs of Azerfon company, Elshad Farzaliyev, told Trend .

The talks are held within the exhibition-conference GSMA Mobile World Congress-2010 in Barcelona.

According to Farzaliyev, mainly, technologies and services demonstrated at the exhibition are based on the technology of 3G. One of the urgent solutions, which attracted the attention of Azerfon, are mobile solutions for e-governance. These are innovative solutions and mobile technologies, which can be involved in the transport sector, health sector, taxation, etc.

"The vast majority of mobile solutions presented at the GSMA Mobile World Congress-2010, are based on the Internet platform. At present, the main trend shows that Internet providers and mobile operators are trying to integrate Internet technologies with mobile communications solutions," Farzaliyev said.

The Conference-Exhibition will be over on February 18.

GSMA Mobile World Congress, organized by the World GSM Association during several years, is the most dramatic and significant event in the mobile communication, where leading representatives of the industry - communication operators, manufacturers of mobile devices and multiservice providers gather.

Traditionally, representatives of top management companies holding leading positions on the wireless market, conduct several meetings and workshops. They discuss urgent topics of mobile communications, as well as industry prospects and future technologies.
