Azerbaijan is reviewing Kazakhstans proposal on use of РљР°zSat satellite, Trend reports with reference to the Ministry of Communication and IT of Azerbaijan.
The Ministry officials said the proposal was submitted by Kazakh government. В"Azerbaijan has dispatched a letter for more detailed information, including the basic terms and fees. We did not make a final decision yetВ", said Ministry officials.
Touching upon the launch of Azeri satellite, Ministry officials said the country addressed ITU on this matter to get issued the future satellite location on the orbit.
The satellite launch will be discussed at the Global Telecommunication Conference that is taking place in Geneva in 2007. Upon issuing the place on orbit for Azerbaijan, its manufacture and equipping will commence. The satellite is planned to be manufactured in 2008. Investments in this project are defined in amount of $80mln.
At the moment Azerbaijan is using Turkish and European satellites.
