Kazakhstan attaches great importance to cooperation with Pakistan and considers it not only in the context of strengthening the strategic relations between the two countries, but within strengthening the stability and security in the region, head of the Military Education and Science Department of the Kazakh Ministry of Defence, Major General Edil Urazov said during a meeting with a Pakistani military delegation.

Listeners of the Pakistani National Defense University familiarized with the military education system in Kazakhstan during their visit to Astana, the Defense Ministry said today.

According to the report, the Kazakh-Pakistani Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technological and Cultural Cooperation is the tool of developing and intensifying the bilateral cooperation.

Kazakhstan and Pakistan signed a memorandum on military cooperation in November 2012.
According to the military experts, at present, the defense ministries of the two countries have good prospects for cooperation in the defense industry.

Head of the Pakistani military delegation, Major General Javed Iqbal said that the system of military training in the Kazakh Armed Forces has a high quality and a solid foundation.
