Kazakhstan's KazTransOil details its oil pump stations amid blackout

ASTANA, Kazakhstan, July 4. Six oil pumping stations (OPS) of Kazakhstan's KazTransOil JSC have not yet resumed their operations after a shutdown caused by an accident at the MAEK LLP as of 15:00 (GMT+6), KazTransOil told Trend.

As noted by the company, the oil pumping stations of KazTransOil operate normally, with the exception of Prorva OPS, Kosshagyl OPS, Karaton of the Kulsary Oil Pipeline Administration OPS and T. Kasymova OPS, Makat OPS, Martyshi of the Atyrau Oil Pipeline Administration OPS, whose work has been restricted. The remaining OPS of KazTransOil, where unplanned shutdowns occurred due to power supply disruptions, have been fully restored.

On July 3, 2023, a disruption in power supply occurred for consumers of the Mangystau and Atyrau power centers of the Western Zone of the Unified Electric Power System of Kazakhstan due to the emergency shutdown of unit No. 1 at the thermal power plant of MAEK LLP. As a result of this systemic failure, several OPS of KazTransOil JSC experienced unplanned shutdowns.

According to the company, as a result of an emergency situation, some of the facilities of Main Waterline Pipeline LLP were also disconnected. Nevertheless, At that moment, work has been restored, and all water pumping stations of Main Waterline LLP are operating as normal.
