Negotiations are underway with China and Singapore to launch shipping routes to Iran's south-eastern Chabahar port, the Chabahar Free Zone managing director said.
Shahbaz Yazdani told Mehr news agency that the value of trade at Chabahar port amounted to $587 million in the first 10 months of the current calendar year (began on March 21, 2011).
Cement, flour and meat products are the main exported goods from the Chabahar Free Zone, he said, adding that expanding trade relations with neighbouring countries, especially Afghanistan, is on the agenda.
