At least four people were killed and two others were injured when a U.S. drone fired missiles in North Waziristan tribal area of northwest Pakistan on Thursday morning, local media reported.
According to the report of local Urdu TV channel ARY, the attack took place early in the morning when a U.S. drone launched two strikes at a house in Miran Shah area of North Waziristan agency, a militancy hit tribal area at Pak-Afghan border, Xinhua reported.
Locals said that members of the local Taliban groups came under the attack.
It is the second the U.S. drone strike in North Waziristan in two days. Earlier on Wednesday, a U.S. drone struck a house in the same region and killed 10 people.
The residents have said that drones are still hovering over Miran Shah and more strikes could be launched.
The U.S. resumed drone strike in Waziristan tribal region in January after a two-month lull.
The London-based Bureau of Investigative Journalism said the drone campaign in Pakistan has killed dozens of civilians who had gone to help rescue victims or were attending funerals.
The investigation was published just days after President Obama claimed that the drone campaign in Pakistan was a "targeted, focused effort" that "has not caused a huge number of civilian casualties."
