Dead bodies of a man and woman were taken out of the ruins as a result of rescue operations conducted by the Azerbaijani Emeregency Situations Ministry’s rescuers in Turkish Van Province, Emeregency Situations Ministry’s official website reported.

Dead bodies of a man and woman were taken out of the ruins as a result of rescue operations conducted by the Azerbaijani Emeregency Situations Ministry's rescuers in Turkish Van Province, Emeregency Situations Ministry's official website reported.

Thus, the Azerbaijani Emeregency Situations Ministry's rescuers have taken 4 dead bodies out of ruins so far.

The earthquake measuring 7.2 on the Richter scale jolted Van city in Turkey at 3:41 am. Tremors were felt in Diyarbekir, Batman, Sirnak, Mus, Erzurum, Bingol, Bitlis, Siirt, Mardin towns. There are damages and human casualties. According to the Turkish media outlets, death toll can reach 1,000 people.

According to the Republican Center of Seismic Service of the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), the earthquake was felt at 3.5-3.0 points in Sederek, Sherur, Babek regions of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, as well as in the Nakhchivan city. There are no damages in the Azerbaijani territory.
