There is not a general position and the dialogue between the Authorities and opposition was impossible, Sardar Jalaloglu, the chairman of the Democratic Party of Azerbaijan (DPA), said to the Trend Agency.

Several days before DPA proposed to hold the Authorities-opposition dialogue and appealed to the ruling New Azerbaijan Party.

Despite all intensions no agreement has been achieved to hold dialogue between the Authorities and opposition.

DPA was founded by Sardar Jalaloglu in 1991. DPA received the new political course to hold dialogue with the government in January 2007. Rasul Guliyev, the ex-chairman of the party, and his supporters separated from the party and founded their own party of the Open Society. Sardar Jalaloglu was elected the chairman of the party during the 9th meeting of DPA.
