Azerbaijan, Baku, 30 June / Trend corr E. Babayev/ Electoral rolls-related complaints in Azerbaijan are not gaining mass popularity. "So far, the hot line of the Central Election Committee (CEC) has received only about 300 complaints regarding electoral rolls. As compared to past years, the index is the lowest," Ramil Huseynov, head of the Elections Information Centre attached to CEC, said to Trend on 30 June.
At the meeting which took place at the end of May, CEC approved of a new electoral roll including 4,834,584 electors (53% women and 48 men).
During last elections, over 4.6mln electors were registered.
Huseynov said out of received complaints, about 100-110 were complied with. The names of the people, who had not been included into the list, were inserted. The rest of complaints are of technical character - regarding misspellings. "We are still receiving appeals. The electoral roll has been put on internet. When 65 days are left to elections, the rolls will be hung in voting stations," said Huseynov.
Azerbaijan will hold presidential elections on 15 October.
