Georgia's Way leader Salome Zurabishvili made several recommendations in connection with the pre-election situation in Georgia to European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy Stefan Fule.
The meeting at the Tbilisi Marriott was attended by opposition leaders. After the meeting, they gave their recommendations to the commissioner.
"We have stated to the commissioner that the pre-election situation in Georgia is very difficult as the authorities are trying to rig the electoral lists," she said.
The opposition has called on the commissioner to exert maximum effort to hold the local elections in an objective format.
For Fair Georgia leader Zurab Nogaideli said that "if the Georgian authorities try to falsify the election results, then we may have a new revolution."
