BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 19. The growth of the Azerbaijani state budget’s non-oil and gas revenues, including tax revenues, has been achieved not by raising tax rates but through transparency and effective administration, the country's Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov said during today’s plenary session of the parliament, Trend reports.
Speaking at a discussion on the draft law “On the State Budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026,” Jabbarov noted that as a result, the tax base in the economy, particularly in the non-oil and gas sector, has broadened. Alongside the growth in budget revenues and expenditures, household incomes and corporate investments have increased significantly.
“Considering the projected figures for 2025, the wage fund, the most important source of income for the population, in the non-oil and gas private sector has increased threefold in 2019-2025,” he added.
