The Latvian Parex banka has sold a 100-percent share in the Azerbaijani leasing company Parex Leasing and Factoring to the Dutch SWITLAR Investments. The deal was signed on Thursday.

"It was the final phase of the negotiations. Today, the full transfer of ownership and other legal documents to the new owner was concluded," CEO Igor Osipenko told Trend on Thursday after the signing ceremony.

He said the contract is worth $3.4 million.

"In the foreseeable future, there is no need for the company's rebranding. We agreed on this matter with our former owners. The company's leadership also will not change yet," Osipenko said.

He said since 2008 the company has not actively operated.

According to Osipenko, the company will resume its vigorous activity at new owners' request in the near future.

"We will soon carry out the analysis of the existing situation with the new owner, consider the company's financial ability, and define the nature of further actions," Osipenko said.
