Baku, Azerbaijan, May 30
By Azad Hasanli - Trend:
AzRosPromInvest LLC, a major producer of bentonite in Azerbaijan, plans to arrange export to Asian markets, Deputy Director of the company Agil Hajiyev told Trend.
"Presently, bulk of our products are exported to Russia, Belarus, Italy and Poland. However, we want both to expand the supply of our products to the EU countries and arrange supplies to Asia, in particular to China and Japan. Asian market is very interesting for us, therefore we primarily try to find partners in these countries," Hajiyev said.
Furthermore, according to him, it is necessary to increase the plant's production capacity to expand the supply.
Presently, the only plant of the Azerbaijani-Russian enterprise is located in the country's Gazakh region. Its production capacity is about 15,000-20,000 tons per month.
"We sell all products produced at the plant, so if we want to expand exports, then we must increase the production capacity. Now we are working in this direction, "Hajiyev said.
The joint Azerbaijani-Russian enterprise AzRosPromInvest LLC was established in 2006.
The company carries out extraction and processing of bentonite clay, and also produces products based on it. The raw material is provided through the Dash-Salakhli deposit of bentonite clay in the Gazakh region of Azerbaijan. The reserves of bentonite clay in this field are estimated at 83 million tons.
