Volume of cargo transshipment from Kazakhstan via Turkish ports disclosed

In August 2019, the volume of cargo transshipment from Kazakhstan through Turkish ports amounted to 15,400 tons, Trend reports referring to Turkey's Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.

In August 2019, the volume of transshipment of cargo from Kazakhstan by ships flying the flag of this country amounted to 2,700 tons, and the volume of transshipment of cargo from Kazakhstan by ships flying the flags of other countries amounted to 12,700 tons.

The vessels sailing under the flag of Turkey did not transship the goods from Kazakhstan.

The ministry stressed that 839 tons of cargo were shipped from Kazakhstan through Turkey to other countries.

In August 2019, 4,601 ships arrived at Turkish ports, and their gross registered tonnage amounted to 58,316,380 tons.

Some 1,978 ships sailing under the Turkish flag and 2,623 ships sailing under flags of other countries arrived at Turkish ports.

The gross registered tonnage of ships arrived at Turkish ports under the Turkish flag in August 2019 amounted to 9,630,723 tons, and the gross registered tonnage of ships under flags of other countries was 48,685,657 tons.

According to the ministry, in January-August 2019, Turkish ports received 35,716 ships with the gross registered tonnage of 516,701,650 tons.

The gross registered tonnage of ships arrived at Turkish ports under the Turkish flag in January-August 2019 amounted to 76,956,730 tons, and the gross registered tonnage of ships under flags of other countries was 439,744,920 tons.
