BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 20. Iran's non-oil exports to Kyrgyzstan rose by 12 percent in value and 1.65 percent in volume during the first 8 months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through November 2023), compared to the same period last year, Trend reports.
As stated in the data from the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), Iran exported 36,300 tons of non-oil products worth $49.7 million to Kyrgyzstan in 8 months.
In the corresponding period of the previous Iranian year, Iran's non-oil exports to Kyrgyzstan stood at 35,700 tons, worth approximately $44.4 million.
The main export items were petrochemical products, agricultural and industrial products, and so on.
Within the 8th month alone (October 23 through November 21, 2023), Iran exported 5,970 tons of non-oil products worth $9.36 million to Kyrgyzstan.
Overall, Iran’s non-oil exports reached $32.2 billion in value and more than 90 million tons in volume in the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through November 21, 2023).
Compared to the same period of the previous Iranian year, the value of non-oil exports decreased by 1.6 percent, while the volume increased by 27 percent.
Iran’s non-oil exports do not include crude oil, mazut, and white oil, which are subject to US sanctions that prevent Iran from exporting them freely. Therefore, Iran has been focusing on increasing its non-oil exports to cope with the economic pressure.
