The Cabinet of Ministers will submit to the Azerbaijani presidential administration new rules on the use of gas in the country, prepared by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Industry and Energy, the state gas monitoring department head under the Ministry of Energy Asif Zeynalov said.
Zeynalov said that the final version of the rules has been agreed with all relevant agencies and submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers. Earlier, the ministry of emergency situations, the ministry of justice, the ministry of finance, the ministry of health, and others submitted recommendations that were taken into account by the Ministry of Industry and Energy.
"All the reviews and recommendations were taken into account and reflected in the final version of the rules. This version has already been sent to the Cabinet of Ministers, which, in its turn, will introduce new rules for the Presidential Administration ", Zeynalov said.
He said that the development of rules for use of gas in Azerbaijan is of great importance. So far, the republic had no uniform national rules for use of gas. Relations in this sphere were governed by rules worked out during the Soviet period. The prepared document is intended to protect the rights of consumers. It is designed to inform them of the rights and responsibilities in use of gas.
One of the points in the worked out rules is the right to use gas on the ground floors of residential buildings. If you are on the ground floors of buildings, which are not used for residential purposes, the use of gas is prohibited, then the new rules use a gas such objects provided. Permission allows using of a four-burner and one-standard water heater.
