Azerbaijan to Discuss Money Order via MTF/STEFI to Middle Asia Countries

Azerbaijan, Baku, 1 May / Trend corr. S.Babayeva / The issue on the possible exchange of an electron money order via the International Financial System of World Postal Union (MTF/STEFI) amongst the Middle Asia countries and Azerbaijan is expected to discuss in the meeting of the head of Administrative Communications (AC) of the Regional Cooperation in the Communication sphere (RCC) in Dushanbe in May.

"Negotiations to introduce postal money order operations are being held with Uzbekistan and Tajikistan," the Communication and IT Ministry of Azerbaijan reported.

Azerbaijan is implementing electron postal money orders through the MTF/STEFI systems with Russia, Moldova, Belorussia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and United Arab Emirates. Japan, France and Estonia are appealing countries for Azerbaijan as well.

The delegation headed by Elmir Valizade, Deputy Communication Minister, will attend in the meeting. The agenda of the 39th meeting will include the issues on preparations to the World Assembly on standardization of electric communication to the 24th Congress of World Postal Union.

The meeting will be attended by delegates from Azerbaijan, Russia, Belorussia, Bulgaria, Moldova, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and other countries.
