BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 9. The Association of Travel Agencies of Azerbaijan will attract investments in new tourism projects, the Association told Trend.
The Association noted that the tourism sector, especially the tourism companies that suffered the most damage during the pandemic, have not stopped operating despite the current difficulties.
"The association and member companies have held meetings with their partners and tourism organizations in foreign countries on online platforms and supported the development of relationships towards the recovery of the tourism sector," the association said.
Following the transition to the post-pandemic period, measures are underway to restore activities.
"Our main priority is participation in international tourism exhibitions held in foreign countries, promotion of tourist routes and tourism products, as well as attracting a large number of tourists to Azerbaijan," added the association.
The Association of Travel Agencies of Azerbaijan is a self-financing organization at the expense of membership fees collected from member companies. But, at the same time, the Association is working on attracting additional investments in order to prepare and implement new tourism projects.
The Association of Travel Agencies of Azerbaijan (ATAA), operating as a state institution since 2019, is actively working to develop the tourism sector, promote Azerbaijan as a tourist destination in foreign countries and form competitive tourism services both in the domestic and foreign markets. About 150 members of the association, distinguished by their professionalism and customer satisfaction in the tourism market, are actively involved in this activity.
