Minimum wage is eight times lower than the maximum in Kazakhstan

In Kazakhstan, the minimum wage rates were roughly eight times lower than the maximum pay, the Novosti-Kazakhstan reported, referring to country's agency for statistics.

These data are based on an analysis of wages in Kazakhstan in June.

According to the Statistics Agency, the average monthly salary of 34.4 percent of employees ranged from 15,001 to 45,000 tenge, 31 percent from 45,001 to 75,000 tenge, 16 percent from 75,001 to 105,000 tenge, 14 percent from 105,001 up to 240,000 tenge, 3.5 percent from 240,001 tenge and above.

On Oct. 25 the official rate in Kazakhstan was 147.97 tenge per US $ 1.
