BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 14. Kazakhstan’s trade with Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) countries increased by 6.5 percent in 2022, according to preliminary data, Trend reports, citing the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of Kazakhstan.
The overall trade turnover between Kazakhstan and the EEU countries amounted to $28.31 billion.
The total volume of exports increased by 24.3 percent and reached $9.7 billion from January through December 2022.
Meanwhile imports stood at $18.06 billion, which constitutes a 0.9 percent decrease compared to a year prior.
Among the EEU countries, Russia remains the largest trading partner of Kazakhstan. Trade between Kazakhstan and Russia amounted to 92.3 percent of the overall trade between Kazakhstan and EEU.
Kyrgyzstan is a distant second with a 4 percent share, while Belarus and Armenia trail with 3.6 and 0.1 percent respectively.
