ASTANA, Kazakhstan, December 19. Annual inflation in Kazakhstan decreased to 10.3 percent in November (from 10.8 percent in October), while it slowed in 17 regions, climbed in two, and was steady in one (Abay region), Trend reports.
At the same time, monthly inflation in Kazakhstan for the reporting period was one percent, according to the National Bank of Kazakhstan.
Annual inflation rates were highest in the Karaganda, Akmola, and Ulytau regions.
Food prices fell 9.2 percent year on year in November (from -10.4 percent in October). The Ulytau region saw the greatest increase in goods prices (12.4 percent), while Shymkent saw the smallest (6.8 percent).
Non-food product price increase has decreased to 9.9 percent year on year (from 11.1 percent in October). The highest number was reported in Mangystau (12.2 percent), and the lowest in the Almaty region (7.7 percent).
Prices for paid services increased by 12 percent year on year in November (compared to 11% in October), with prices rising much higher in Turkestan (18.1 percent) and significantly lower in Astana (8.4 percent).
