ASTANA, Kazakhstan, February 19. The World Bank (WB) expects a gradual decline in inflation in Kazakhstan, Trend reports.
Citing the World Bank research, inflation will fall to eight
percent by the end of 2024, down from 9.8 percent in 2023.
Concurrently, the World Bank predicts inflation be 6.7 percent in
2025, with a further cut to 5.6 percent in 2026.
As the WB highlighted, despite regular drops in 2024 and 2025,
inflation will stay above Kazakhstan's National Bank's target.
Furthermore, inflation in Kazakhstan has decreased over the last
year, reaching 9.8 percent in December 2023 (down from 10.3 percent
in November).
Food prices increased by 8.5 percent (in November 2023, 9.2
percent), non-food products by 9.1 percent (in November 2023, 9.9
percent), and paid services by 12.4 percent.
Monthly inflation declined slightly to 0.8 percent (down from one percent the previous month).
