The mayor mentioned that the total number of city enterprises has now reached 262, with the establishment of these new productions resulting in the creation of 334 job opportunities. Direct investments totaling 30.7 million somoni ($2.8 million) were attracted to establish these capacities.

Mayor Sharifzoda emphasized the ongoing efforts towards the development of the industrial sector. However, out of over 260 enterprises, only 23 from Khujand have exported goods to both near and distant foreign countries.
