Turkmenistan and EU confer with joint economic-related projects

ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, October 25. Turkmenistan and the EU discussed joint projects in the economic sphere, Trend reports.

These issues were discussed in Ashgabat during a meeting between the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova and the Ambassador of the EU to Turkmenistan Beata Pęksa.

During the meeting, a thorough exchange of views was held on topical issues of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the EU, as well as prospects for further fruitful partnership in the context of the implementation of major projects, especially in the fields of trade and economic relations, transport, energy, and education.

Furthermore, the effective joint activities of the parties within the framework of the EU-Central Asia cooperation format were noted.

Meanwhile, on October 23, Luxembourg hosted the 19th EU-Central Asia Ministerial Meeting, which was attended by representatives of all Central Asian countries: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.

The main purpose of this meeting was to discuss issues of cooperation and search for solutions to current problems.
