ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, July 12. Nazar Agakhanov appointed Minister of Trade of Turkmenistan, Trend reports, citing Turkmen Mejlis.
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov appointed Nazar Agakhanov as the new Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations. The corresponding decree was signed during an extended meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, where personnel decisions and policy outcomes for the first half of 2025 were reviewed.
Agakhanov, who previously served as Deputy Minister, replaces Kerimberdi Kurbanov, who had been temporarily overseeing the ministry. In his remarks following the appointment, the new minister expressed gratitude to the President and pledged to work diligently to advance Turkmenistan’s foreign economic strategy and strengthen trade policy.
