TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, May 17. Russia's Promsvyazbank has launched international money transfers by phone number to Uzbekistan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, Trend reports.

Uzbekistan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan have over 30 banks that can receive money from the bank. Transfers are made in Russian rubles and received in the destination bank's card account currency.

The maximum amount of a single transfer is 100,000 rubles ($1,097) and 150,000 rubles ($1,646), depending on the recipient's country. There is no limit on the number of transfers.

Moreover, the bank charges no commission for transfers to Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. For transfers to other countries, a commission of one percent is charged.

Meanwhile, money transfers to Uzbekistan by phone number are available at such Russian banks as Sberbank, Tinkoff Bank, VTB, Gazprombank, and MTS Bank.

In addition, a number of Uzbek banks, notably Ipak Yuli and Halyk Bank, stated that their operations with the Contact money transfer system had been suspended. This is due to the revocation of the Russian QIWI Bank's license, which owns the Contact system.
