TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, September 14. Trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Brazil reached $286.7 million from January through July 2024.
The data obtained by Trend from the country's Statistics Agency indicates that this indicator decreased by 45.2 percent compared to the same period last year when the trade turnover amounted to $416.4 million.
As a result, Brazil has climbed the ranks to become one of the top 20 trade partners of Uzbekistan.
The volume of exports of goods from Uzbekistan to Brazil totaled $5 million, which is 233.3 percent more compared to last year ($1.5 million from January through July 2023).
Uzbekistan's imports from Brazil stood at $281.7 million from January through July 2024. This figure decreased by 47.3 percent compared to the same period last year ($415 million from January through July 2023).
To note, Uzbekistan's total trade turnover amounted to $36.8 billion from January through July 2024. This indicator increased by 5.4 percent compared to the same period last year ($34.9 billion from January through July 2023).
The country's exports reached US$14.7 billion from January through July 2024, while imports totaled US$22 billion.
