Iran's oil output experienced growth for the third consecutive month, since October 2013.

The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries released its monthly report on Jan.16, saying Iran's oil production level has risen dramatically from 2.679 million barrels in October to 2.73 million barrels per day in December, 2013, based on the secondary sources.

According to the report, Iran's oil output increased by 20,000 barrels per day in the last month of 2013, compared to the previous month.

The reports said that the Middle East country's heavy oil price was 105.73 USD per barrel on average last year, compared to 109.06 USD in 2012.

OPEC's statistics show that Iran's domestic crude oil demands have increased a little since 2Q 2013, compared to the same periods in the previous two years, which experienced a drop.

The 12-member Cartel's total crude oil output stood at 29.443 million barrels per day in December 2013, twenty thousand barrels less than November.

Iran took fifth place in term of oil output level among OPEC members after Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Kuwait, and the UAE.
