BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 27. Iran's imports of products from Azerbaijan decreased by 65 percent in value and 45 percent in weight during the five months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through August 21, 2024) compared to the same period last year (from March 21 through August 22, 2023).
The data obtained by Trend from the country's Customs Administration indicate that Iran's imports of products from Azerbaijan amounted to 5,450 tons worth $9.1 million for five months (from March 20 through August 21, 2024).
The statistics show that for the same period last year (from March 21 through August 22, 2023) Iran imported 9,900 tons of products worth $26 million from Azerbaijan.
Meanwhile, the statistics indicate that Iran imported various equipment, pressed soybeans, various types of profiles, and other products from Azerbaijan.
To note, Iran imported 15.7 million tons of non-oil products worth $26.3 billion during five months. Iran's imports of non-oil products increased by 5.53 percent in value and 7.93 percent in weight terms over the five months compared to the same period last year.
