BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 6. The export of non-oil products through the customs of Mazandaran Province, located in the north of Iran, increased by 27 percent in value and 23 percent in weight terms during seven months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through October 21, 2024) compared to the same period last year (from March 21 through October 22, 2023), controller of customs in Iran's Mazandaran Province Amir Jamshidi told reporters, Trend reports.

He claims that over the course of the seven months, Mazandaran Province Customs exported 1.16 million tons of non-oil products worth $230 million.

Jamshidi added that for seven months, the customs of Noshehr, Amirabad, Sari, Feredoon Kenar, and Amol Provinces exported 125 types of products. Thus, the main exports were dairy products worth $75 million, cement worth $28 million, rubber products worth $24 million, metals worth $20 million, and various equipment and spare parts worth $12 million.

The official reported that the customs of Mazandaran Province exported non-oil products to 44 countries. Thus, the official exported mainly non-oil products worth $85.4 million to Iraq, $78.2 million to Russia, $15.3 million to Turkmenistan, $10.2 million to Kazakhstan, and $7.18 million to Pakistan. The export of non-oil products to the mentioned countries amounted to 85 percent of the product exports via the customs of Mazandaran Province.

To note, Iran's imports of non-oil products amounted to 88.7 million tons worth $32.5 billion during the seven months of the current Iranian year. Compared to the same period last year, exports of non-oil products increased by 15 percent in value and 11.4 percent in weight terms.
