Georgia, Tbilisi, 16 June / corr. Trend N. Kirtskhalia/ The over militarization of Georgian-Ossetin conflict zone makes the situation in the region more tense, the military expert Koba Liklikadze said to media on 16 June.

"There are a lot of armament in the region without control which leads to explosions and fires and it is necessary to turn once again to the plan of the former Premier of Georgia Zurab Jvaniya who offered demilitarization of the conflict zone still 4 years ago," he said.

According to Liklikadze, the process was interrupted due to the unwillingness of Tsinvali and Moscow to carry it out to the end. "Later Russia began to supply the conflict region with more arms, therefore now it is more difficult to carry out this plan," expert said. The expert is sure that it will be impossible to reach peaceful settlement without demilitarization.
