Algeria will not give up the family members of Libya's murdered ex-leader Muammar Gaddafi either to Libya or any other country, and will negotiate only with the UN, Arab media reported referring to the country's authorities.
The Algerian side further said it granted asylum to Gaddafi's family members for humanitarian reasons and believes that it is wrong to give them up to Libya due to the fear for their fate.
The report also said that the location of Gaddafi's family members is a closely guarded secret, and they are being heavily protected.
Libya's former leader Moamer Gaddafi was murdered on Oct. 20 during the NATO's bombing attacks on a convey of cars fleeing from Sirte.
