BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 30. Azerbaijan is actively working to align its standards with the World Bank's business rating, Deputy Head of the State Service for Antimonopoly Supervision and Consumer Market Control under the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan Jafar Babayev told reporters, Trend reports.
According to him, the country is taking significant steps to improve its position.
“As you know, the ‘Competition Code’ has been adopted, a new law on state sales has been adopted, and significant steps have been made in the field of innovation. Further improvement in these areas is envisaged in the roadmap approved by the end of this year. International practice and especially the new business rating of the World Bank require us to further improve the legislation. There are many nuances in this area. In this regard, we are working to fully comply with this rating,” he said.
