Azerbaijan will amend a Law "On bases of call to military service".
At present, discussions are underway on the draft law about the amendments, the member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Security and Defense Siyavush Novruzov said today.
"Azerbaijan is in a state of armed conflict and therefore it is necessary to create such conditions for call-up, thanks to which citizens will be ready for the start of military actions. The main issue is the mobilization," Novruzov said.
According to him, the law will reflect the issue of attracting people studying abroad, and postgraduates to military service.
The currently existing law was adopted in 1992.
