Baku, Azerbaijan, Nov. 8
By Rufiz Hafizoglu - Trend: Relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan are being strengthened even more, Secretary General of the Turkish Presidential Administration Mustafa Isen told Trend on Nov.8.
Friendly, brotherly relations between the two countries are based on a common culture and history. In addition, there is economic cooperation between the two countries, Isen said answering the question about holding the next meeting of the Supreme Council on Strategic Partnership between Azerbaijan and Turkey to be held in Ankara.
Relations between the two countries are developing on all spheres on the basis of the principle of Azerbaijan's national leader Heydar Aliyev of 'One nation - two states'," the Secretary General said.
"We can confidently say Azerbaijani-Turkish relations are much better today than previously and further strengthening is expected in the future," Isen said.
According to him, there is no problem between Ankara and Baku in political and economic relations and their development will continue at the highest level.
"With the re-election of Ilham Aliyev to the post of president, Turkish-Azerbaijani relations will reach a higher level," Isen said.
Alongside this, we should pay attention to another particularity, he added.
"Of course, economic and political relations between our countries are very important, but at the same time cultural ties that unify us are also of great significance. The development of cultural relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey are also at a high level. I would like to stress that during the past two years my books were translated into the Azerbaijani language and presented to Azerbaijani readers," he said.
Meanwhile, books of Azerbaijani writers such as Anar and Elchin Efendiyev were translated into the Turkish language, Isen said.
According to the Secretary General, the preparation of joint telecasts and production of joint movies serve to enhance the deepening of relations between Ankara and Baku.
The next meeting of the Supreme Council on Strategic Partnership between Azerbaijan and Turkey will be held on November 12-13 in Ankara.
